It is with heavy hearts we
report that Mrs. Nunn's, staff member who works in our
cafeteria, home was completely destroyed last night
in a fire. Mrs. Nunn, along with her two daughters
and two granddaughters live together and were able
to escape from the fire with no injuries, and for
that we are so thankful, but they lost
EVERYTHING!!!
The Red Cross will hopefully be providing them aid and
temporary housing. We are asking our
Briarlake family to please help by giving first
your prayers, then clothing for the family,
and then money. The PTA's plan is to have
bins in the lobby of the school this afternoon for
clothing. The bins will remain through next
week. We will collect monetary donations through
next Thursday morning, 12/17 (firm deadline),
and give Mrs. Nunn a gift card to Wal-mart.
Remember she has no where to keep toys at this time, so
please just give money. Please indicate on
your check "Mrs. Nunn
fund".

We understand that we have just
collected holiday money for our support staff and
we are very grateful for your
generousity. One of our own is in a time of
great loss, and needs our love and support. Please
give generously...this could be any one of us at
anytime.
