Curriculum Night
PTA Meeting and
Volunteer Rally
Thursday, August 27
5:00-6:00pm - Tables-Volunteer
sign-up 6:00-6:30pm - PTA Meeting 6:35-7:15pm -
Session I 7:20-8:00pm - Session II
All homeroom teachers will be
available for both
sessions. For new families, the purpose of the two
sessions is to give you an opportunity to meet all of
your children's teachers and visit their
classrooms. If you only have one student at
Briarlake, you do not need to attend both
sessions.
Fifth grade will meet in the Media
Center. Discovery Teachers will meet in Ms.
McMillan's classroom during both sessions. Special area
teachers will be available during Session II in the
cafeteria. Meet the staff, find out about our PTA, visit
the classrooms - don't miss this big event.
FYI - This is a parent's only
event. Please plan now and get a sitter for the kids.
And you may want to plan to walk - parking is always a
challenge.
Don't miss this opportunity to get
involved!

| "Thank You" goes
to:
Heather Leahy for
coordinating all our Class volunteers. Our
teachers would be lost without Room parents and Helper
parents!
Mrs. Hilliard for already attending
to our runny noses and coughs with a warm and
comforting smile.
Mrs. Norris-Brown for listening
to our every concern with a kind ear and positive
perspective as we transition into this new school
year.
Mrs. Laster's and Mrs. Bouda's
classes for coordinating our first Terrific Thursday
teacher/staff luncheon in only the second week of
school. Bravo! Especially to Rose Boise,
Karen Roser and Sarah Rigby. Our
educators felt special as they dined on
the delicious cuisine.
Micki Gulley, treasurer, for making
all our deposits and cutting all our checks in the
back-to-school avalanche of money.
Our Custodial staff: Mr. Nunn,
Ms. Jackson and
Mr. Tran. Our building shines
brightly because of you! Thank you for going above
and beyond
everyday! |

would love your participation. Kids are always
welcome on campus workdays. Just bring gloves,
