Briarlake Fundraising

Briarlake Elementary PTA is an integral part of the life of the school. Due to the efforts of many parents and volunteers, our PTA is able to provide exceptional support for the many facets of the school through fundraising programs and direct donations. Many opportunities are provided for fundraising at Briarlake, and several require no additional out-of-pocket expenses for your family. We are delighted to be able to enrich the school in such meaningful ways. Thank you to every community member who has contributed to our fundraising efforts.

Great American Gift Wrap - August 2010

Make a Splash with Great American!

Our newest fundraiser, Great American, is already making a splash! The sale has officially begun and runs through September 2nd. Great American features something for everyone: unique gift wrap and food items, a wide selection of quality holiday and home products -- and introducing a new offering this year...the Jewelry Collection!

Please remember to have your child turn in their participation sheet starting next Monday, August 16th for eligibility to receive a rubber duckie keychain. Keychains will be delivered to all participating students on Fridays during the sale.

Additional Thank You Prizes: Sell 10 items, select a free bonus product from either catalog (put item number of your choice in the goal prize box on the order form) A ride on the fabulous Fur Bus - for every student selling $150 or more. A class party - for the class with the most students participating (selling at least 1 item) Movie Tavern gift card for the two top selling students If you did not receive a Great American packet during open house one will be sent home with your child this week.

Additional forms can be found in the office. Order forms are due September 2nd (Please write ONE check for your student's entire catalog order, payable to Briarlake PTA) Orders will be ready for pickup on October 15th (they'll go home with your student)

Your Local Dish Network Retailer - Updated August 19, 2010

Your Local Dish Network Retailer will donate $50 to Briarlake for every new account opened. The donation will be made in your name and benefit our playground fund! Georgia Natural Gas

If you are a Georgia Natural Gas customer, please consider registering for their True Blue Schools program. It really is an easy and quick way to bring in "free" money for our school and your child's educational opportunities. Simply connect to the link below and sign up! IT'S VERY FAST! Briarlake will receive $100 a year from each GNG customer. That's a lot of money! And it really adds up. You just need your GNG account number. Book Fairs :

The Fall Book Fair provides an opportunity to purchase new and classic books with a portion of the proceeds being returned to the school.
Our used Book Sale will be held in the winter. Save your books for this great book sale.

Target

Do you shop at Target? Briarlake has earned mega bucks from the Target program. Way to go - keep shopping!

General Mills Box Tops for Education

Our school has earned $4,527 since 1996. Last year we earned $1,061. Keep collecting Briarlake. Briarlake earns 10 cents for every General Mills "Box Top" turned in to school. These box tops are special coupons on the label of different many food items including Cheerios, Gold Medal Flour and Green Giant vegetables. Grocery Programs

The Kroger "Earning for Learning" program continues this year. Each participating school has a barcode that you take to the store and they scan it with your KrogerPlus card, then each time you shop and use your KrogerPlus card, Kroger will contribute a portion of the eligible purchases toward the Kroger Earning Plus Learning fund. You only need to do this one time.

Publix - we continue to benefit from the card scanning program. When you shop at Publix, be sure to use your card.

OneCause.com

New name, same idea. Are you an online shopper? If so, many stores participate in OneCause and give a percentage of your purchases to the school. Check out the OneCause website for more details.

Are you a Collector?

Old glasses, old cell phones, empty ink cartridges, coupons for baby items, baby food jars, consumable baby products (like diapers, wipes, lotion, etc), newspapers, and white paper are all needed. The PTA, SGA, Beta Club, technology dept., and scouts would like to invite you to help them by turning in these items which will benefit other charities and the educational opportunities of our students. Drop them off at school!
